I have seen them listed as the former online but am just not completely sure-- I do know though that they are very soft and feel great on one's neck

with a little surface scratching on a couple of the cards and light wear/aging to the brass

Hand written at the top of the card is what looks to read Calicas, and again on reverse, but there looking more like Calias, so who knows? In any case, I'd guess a school girl creation dating to the early 20th century or so. I especially love the blue rimmed
